Work Experience
Sept. 2019- Associate Producer, Kentucky Educational Television
May 2021
I produced segments for KET’s public affairs unit.
Contributed to legislative coverage while the Kentucky
legislature was in session. My time at KET also
coincided with the rise of the Covid-19 pandemic. A
lot of my work between 2020 and 2021 revolved
around pandemic coverage.
Aug. 2018- News Assistant, PBS NewsHour
Aug, 2019
During my time at PBS NewsHour, I pitched and wrote
stories for web, including a 2,000-word feature story
about how a cockfighting ban would impact Puerto
Rico’s economy. I also assisted producers with
translations and field shoots
May 2018- Summer intern, The Kojo Nnamdi Show, WAMU 88.5
Aug.2018
I was at the Kojo Show for a bit over two months, but
during that time I produced 3 talk show segments and
co-produced a few others. It was a foundational
experience that taught me the basics of radio
production.
Sept. 2017- Reporter, Capital News Service, University of Maryland
Dec. 2017
Capital News Service was my final capstone project as a
journalism master’s student at the University of Maryland.
I worked out of the Washington D.C. bureau covering
Maryland-related politics news. I produced over 10
multimedia stories, including a short documentary about
a Puerto Rican family displaced by Hurricane Maria.
I also worked at the digital bureau as a social media
editor, producing content for social media platforms
and analyzing audience engagement for CNS stories.
