the common myths about undocumented immigrants filing

taxes.

Puerto Rican family that relocated to Baltimore following

Produced, shot b-roll and edited the field segment featured in

this episode featured on “Connections”, a talk show program

that airs on Kentucky Educational Television.

 

KET: Remembering Julia

This piece is about Julia Chinn, who was born into slavery,

and became the common-law wife of Richard Mentor Johnson,

U.S. vice president with Martin Van Buren.

It was nominated for a regional Emmy in 2021. I was a co-

producer in charge of the pre-production of this piece, which

involved historical research and location scouting. I also

coordinated and conducted the interviews with the experts.

 

KET: COVID-19’s Impact on Special Education and Students’ Mental Health

I produced, shot b-roll and edited a segment about how

Ashley Martin and her hearing-impaired son, Rex, are adapting

to remote learning during the Covid-19 pandemic.

NBC Latino: One Trans Woman's Fight for Asylum and LGBTQ Rights

Short piece I produced, shot and edited for a photojournalism

class at the University of Maryland. A web piece, as well as

the video, was featured on NBC Latino.

 

Kentucky Tonight: State of Unrest

I researched information for graphics, guests and compiled

footage for this “Kentucky Tonight” on racial inequalities in

policing. I was awarded a regional Emmy for my role as a co-

producer.

Produced and edited this piece about a cafe that employs

people with disabilities.
